FAQ
Bulk Buying
How much freezer space do I need?
- Quarter Beef (130-150 lbs): 6-7 cu. ft.
- Half Beef (270-300 lbs): 12-14 cu. ft.
- Whole Beef (550-600 lbs): 24 cu. ft.
Make sure you have the freezer space before picking up your beef!
How long does each amount last?
A half beef can last a family of 4, who eat beef as their main course 4-5 times a week, for approximately 7-8 months. If you'd like help choosing which option is best for you, please feel free to reach out via email or phone!

Could I get any bones with my order as well?
Of course! The butcher can provide dog bones and soup bones upon request. Dogs love them, and soup bones are perfect for making bone broth.
How is everything packaged?
Each cut of meat is carefully wrapped, labeled, and frozen, ensuring it's ready for extended freezer storage. There won't be any guesswork, ever!
What’s the best way to defrost my meat before cooking?
Thaw steaks in the refrigerator for 2-3 days for optimal results. For ground beef, the best methods are thawing on the counter or in cold water.
Never microwave as tempting as it may be!
What cuts are included in a quarter/half/whole beef?
For bulk orders of half and whole beef, you can choose the specific cuts and thicknesses you want. For a quarter beef, the cuts are standard and pre-selected. The butcher will contact you after payments have been received to discuss what kind of cuts you would like.
How much do bulk orders cost?
These are estimates, as every cow weights differently, but on average:
- 1/4 ranges from $1,088 - $1,148
- 1/2 ranges from $2,176 - $2,296
- 1 whole ranges from $4,352 - $4,592
